Besides that, overeating is also about consuming too much unhealthy food such as food with high fat content. Next, are you someone with the habit to eat without any valid reason? You eat when you are in front of the television, sad, happy, in other words, you just eat all the time. This is one cause of overweight. Since you are eating when you are not hungry, this means you might be eating more than what you need for your body and activities. Drinking alcohol also contributes to weight gain. Generally, alcohol does not give you much nutritional content but gives you lots of calories.
2. Technology is also a strong cause of overweight. Technology has made our lives easier with the invention of cars and elevators. We do not need to walk long distances or climb the stairs as much anymore. This causes us to get our body moving less and therefore, we have less chance to burn our fat. Of course, we could choose to do other forms of exercises instead, like joining a gym or walk around the park. However, how many of us would actually allocate some time to exercise? We would tell ourselves that we are too busy to work out.
Overweight is no longer a small problem. It does not affect only you alone, but also the people you love and the society. In order to combat overweight, it is essential to have knowledge about its causes.
